Default Dell Inspiron 9300 queston

I inadvertantly ordered this unit with a 64MB video card rather than 128MB. Therefore, I currently cannot get the 1600x1200 resolution required for four tabling at Party without overlap. I have ordered the 128MB card, but now I am hearing two different things from two different Dell people. One says the 128 card and the existing monitor will enable me to have 1600x1200 resolution. The other says that I can only get 1680x1050, unlessI upgrade the LCD to WUXGA from WXGA+.

Does anyone here have enough experience with this Dell model to answer my question? The tech and customer service people at Dell seem to be based in India, and their responses are as vague and amiguous as I usually get from Party Customer Support people.

The problem is the LCD screen, not your video card. 64MB would have been fine. Unless you specifically upgraded to WUXGA you will not be able to run 1920x1200. I also believe that the resolution of WXGA+ is not 1680x1050 but rather 1440x900. You can however, run 1600x1200 on an external monitor.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the upgrade to WUXGA. Is this unit easy to install, or should I take it to a computer service ompany for installation?
