In my home 2/4 nl game I have been experimenting with a new style of play that seems to be working. My basic strategy is the same every week. It is to play solid but to attempt a bluff whenever a decent situation occurs, until I get caught. I then make sure everyone at the table see's my bluff. From then on I play tight, aggressive, and by the book. I have had moderate success so far, showing a decent profit over 15 out of 20 sessions. Can anyone tell me any obvious flaws to this style that I may be missing or am I on the right track.?

bluff, get caught, tighten up.
show down some good and at least one great hand. rinse, repeat. It worked for more than a year for me, but too many of my friends wised up and mouthed off to the others (plus everyone is learning how to play better poker). I lost for awhile until I figured out THEY had figured ME out. Now I'm confusing them again but they *think* they know what I'm doing... "Damn, I thought you were bluffing that time!"... or my favorite quote ... "F*** ME IN THE GOAT A**! YOU NEVER BLUFF INTO ME THERE!" muahahahahahah. |
