What are the odds of someone flopping a flush when you flop a set??
In a heads up situation with one player holding a pocket pair (say 7d7h), and another holding two suited cards (say AcKc), what is the probability that one flops a set while the other flops a flush?

Re: What are the odds of someone flopping a flush when you flop a set??
The probability is 1*(10 choose 2)/(48 choose 3)=.2602% or
1 in 384 flops. I am sure you realize you are not dead in this situation. He will probably slow play the flopped nut flush, giving you a 7 out chance on the turn and 10 out chance on the river to outdraw him. Cobra |
