Re: Call here? Or how to play in general...
What buy-in? I'm assuming 10s or 20s.
Completing in the SB is fine but you are looking for a flush, 2 pair or trip 2s. I would also have checked after the flop but with this much action, there is a very small chance that you are ahead right now. I fold the flop. You are beat by any Ace and people love calling with Ax at low buy-ins. You must fold the turn now as it is obvious someone has the case A or a boat. This is the problem with completing these types of hands in the small blind, or calling in late position. You have to be able to get away from them. It is so easy to get married to a hand like this and lose chips. |

Re: Call here? Or how to play in general...
Yeah, you have to fold on the turn. This stinks because you have the nut flush draw and a reasonable shot of a split pot against several Ax hands. I think you played it fine, but things just seem wrong with all this betting on the turn. btw - Use the hand converter. Don't bother posting results in white or any other color. This will influence the responses that you get. You can always follow up and post the results later if anyone cares. |

Re: Call here? Or how to play in general...
Calling the turn is a huge mistake. Sometimes you just have to ask yourself what your opponent's have and not be blinded by your own hand. If you'd ask yourself that question you should see you have very little chance to win the hand unless your opponent's are completely insane. (Sorry just noticed you have flush draw, but still doesn't mean you can consider calling) |

Re: Call here? Or how to play in general...
Agree with the other poster. Nothing wrong with completing and checking the flop was good, but you were clearly behind after a $90 bet and 2 callers. Should not have called the flop. The turn bet is not even close to callable as you can't even be sure a flush wins the hand. AJ seems likely.

Re: Call here? Or how to play in general...
lol. curtains as odd as it may seem I didnt think about that until you said it. I most def was blinded by my own hand and didnt truly consider what was all the betting about. Then it becomes a lot easier to realize that if AJ, JJ is out there I may be screwed anyway. I only considered Ax which I now understand was even wrong to want to call. Thanks guys.

[ QUOTE ]
I most def was blinded by my own hand and didnt truly consider what was all the betting about. [/ QUOTE ] The technical term for this is "Vegas and the Fxxxing Mirage Syndrome" or VFMS for short. It doesn't get as many headlines as FPS (Fancy Play Syndrome), but VFMS can be even more devastating for its victims. |
