I'd be inclined to fold on the flop; 9.5-to-1 on just overcards.

I don't understand the fold here..if its 9.5 to 1 on overcards, thats still 6 outs which will give you greater pot odds than break even..or am i doing something wrong

Maybe others would call, but you can't give 6 outs to all your overcards. In this spot I think 3-3.5 is good. He could very well have you dead with a set, or dominated with A7/two pair, which is why you should discount a bit.

How do you get 9.5:1 ? I would think all 6 overcards are clean, no?

He's getting 9.5:1 on a call, but even if you gave his overcards 4 outs you'd need 10.5:1 to proceed.

how about we take into account the fact that the flop CR is a very odd move heads up...tough to give the opponent too much credit, especially when folding to this move also tells the guy that their move is an effective one (if bluffing).

You can't just base every decision according to math.

I don't discount these outs HU at all really, maybe to like 5 (I don't even go that far). There is more of a need to discount with like a 5-way flop because you're more often reverse-dominated.

Also, with AQ HU, your hand is going to be good here a fair portion of the time. I might try to get to a showdown here against an aggressive opponent.
