I think you can be put in a lot more trouble by raising here than limping. What do you do when you're re-raised by one of the limpers?

If re raised easy fold. If u had limped that guy could extract a lot from u cause he has a better hand than u think, eg. if u flop a queen and he has AA or KK.

against people who want to see the flop cheap with small pocket pairs, suited connectors etc. make them pay if they want to see the flop.

If one of them volume re-raises you chuck the hand like its nothing? How much do you plan on raising? If you are called and you miss the flop what do you then? Someone with Kings could call your raise and you hit a queen on the flop you're still going to lose a lot of chips.

I don't see AQs as a hand that needs protected its more of a hand that needs help especially from small blind.
