I believe the tip is solely dependent on a few factors:
1. The Bill. 2. How fast the food gets to you based on how long you are told it will take. 3. Recognizing the fact that it’s always best to be generous as you are getting a service along with a good. As a rule of thumb, the website Tip The Pizza Guy (I apply it to any food delivery) offers good advice to what an acceptable tip is. In your case with the delivery person saying that if all you’re going to tip is two dollars then you shouldn’t tip at all. You can tell him to go fvck himself and he can keep the change. The only problem making that remark is that next time, the special sauce really might be special. |
