decent draw oop
Last night $30 UB 6-seated tourney. Blinds are 30-60. I have just recovered from being very shortstacked by pushing with many hands and doubling up twice. Opponent in this hand is slightly loose (but this is 6 handed), will bluff, and make some loose calls.
I have TC 1350 and am dealt 8c 9c. I min raise to 120, get a call from UTG+2 and villain in the cutoff (TC 1000 before calling), the blinds fold. -Pot is 450 and flop is As Tc 7h (3 players) I bet 200, 1 fold, villain calls -Pot is 850 and turn is 5c (2 players) I bet 400, villain pushes 680, I call I apologize if this is hard to read, I'm posting this at work. I have been playing mostly limit lately, and feel my tournament game slipping away from me. Please help. Thanks in advance, Joe |

Re: decent draw oop
I'd push the turn instead of betting 400. Your bet looks really weak to me.

Re: decent draw oop
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that 400 was the same as a push. Is there a hand that he lays down for 400 that he won't for 680? He should know I will call 280 more. . .or am I assuming too much?

Re: decent draw oop
you're assuming too much, and it's not necessarily that. If you bet 400 on the turn at me, I might start to believe my T was good. Also, I slightly misunderstood the post. I thought it was 680 more to call. Either way, I push the turn.
