semibluff defense
One aspect of my game I'm trying to improve lately is play on the turn. I have some questions on defense against the semi-bluff. What are your opinions?
[1] Which is a bigger mistake: Call-check-call against action on the turn to an opponent who rarely semibluffs, or laying down against a semibluffer? Here's the catch--you don't know the players well yet, so you don't know which is which. [2] If you err on the side of caution, on which side should you err? [3] What is the best way to quickly determnine who is a semi-bluffer and who isn't? [4] Can something about the game in general help you make the right determination? [5] Is the danger of becoming perceived a "folder" real in games below 30-60? [6] How do you quickly determine the level of danger? [7] If you draw "shots" because you have the image of a folder, how do you react? |
