Bad flop push with AA?
Standard $10 Party S&G. It's early on and I'm in MP. No real reads thus far, but there's been plenty of the usual loose/passive plays. Not too much action pf.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t15 (9 handed) converter UTG+1 (t1275) MP1 (t745) MP2 (t765) Hero (t770) CO (t775) Button (t770) SB (t2030) BB (t235) UTG (t635) Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG calls t15, 3 folds, Hero raises to t70, 3 folds, BB calls t55, UTG calls t55. Flop: (t217.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) BB all-in t165, UTG calls t165, Hero all-in t700, UTG folds. Turn: (t535) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) River: (t535) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Final Pot: t535 I didn't put either on a set or two pair. Was pushing good/bad? Might have been able to get some more out of UTG maybe but didn't want the flush draw sticking around? I seem to try to push people out in these type of situations and I'm not really sure if it's correct. Thoughts? I think the hand converter loses some of the all-in stuff and I tried to edit in the corrections. Hopefully it's right. |

Re: Bad flop push with AA?
yep, clear all-in. only worry is that he is slow calling his set but 90% of the time you'll be in good shape

Re: Bad flop push with AA?
Looks like a good push to me. BB could be chasing a flush and UTG might have K10 or some such. You can't really expect a much better flop than that when you have aces (raggy board with a two-flush).
Did UTG pull a Brunson after studying videotape from the 1977 WSOP? |
