Default Anyone lay down this QQ?

7500€ guarantee,200 players down to 120. Hero is avg stack with ~5000,has played pretty tight. Blinds 150/300,coming up to 250/500 soon. 25 get paid.
Tables chip leader with around 12000 limps from utg, two other limps from below avg stacks, hero sees QQ and makes it 1500. UTG immeaditely pushes. Hero..does what?

Hero...calls.

Without a read, it sure smells like a slowplayed AA. But with 90+ to the bubble and you at 12bb (7bb if you fold and the blinds go up), I think this is a good time to gambool and hope for a laggy underpair or coinflip. You would take over as table leader (t11,050 pot) and have breathing room to (22bb) to catch a hand.

have you seen him do it before?

I prolly call anyway though. If table is rockish, I might fold and try to steal a lot of blinds.

I hardly ever see this play with JJ or less. He might be holding AK but much more likely to have AA, KK. Since you don't have pot odds to try to catch a Q on the board, I think you should lay it down and look for a better spot to put all your chips in.

Hi,

If this is the first time the table chip leader limped first in from EP you should have picked up on it and this would be a no brainer limp and hope for a monster flop. If he is always limping in EP then you have to call his push because your pot commited.

Folding here would be awefull unless you can steal blinds mercilessly. If the bigstack is doing that, then you just have to gamble.

Later,
MARkV.

What do the other two limpers do? If they both fold, then I would push. If either of them calls, you're looking at probably a coin flip at best AK, to AA-KK dog, so fold.

Let's assume a 60% chance of AA or KK, 20% chance of AK and 20% chance of JJ or less (including total bluff). Any objections to these assumptions? So you're chance of winning is (.60 x .18) + (.20 x .55) + (.20 x .82) = 39.4%.

The pot is laying you odds of (5000+1500+600):3500 or about 2:1, giving you a slightly profitable play.

Based on this, I'll ammend my previous post and say it's a toss up and you should go with your gut feel.

So what did he have?

Default Results

Thought for a while, then called, and the villian showed those obvious aces. No help on the board and it was my time.
And to your questions...he had'nt been limping alot, nor stealing,so i think those both would've backed up the decision of laying down...hard call anyway...
Thanks for answers.
