I bought in for 100 CDN with more in my wallet. It looked like others at the table bought in for amounts similar to that, but it's not a max buy-in game so you can do your usual 20 BB(or more) if you want. However, you can always get more chips at the cashier or the dealer between hands. Do what's comfortable for you.

20 big bets is the standard for the 5/10 and 10/20 games I've played.

[ QUOTE ]
Have you ever played $2-4 in a live casino? I hate it and the rake eats your lunch. It's just like bingo but you are not supposed to yell when you win. [/ QUOTE ] I would agree with that based on Foxwoods' 2/4. However, I figure that the bad play makes up for the rake. Everyone says 4/8 is just as bad, though, so if I had the bankroll I would play it. Is there any easy way to quantify how much the rake is hurting you? Since I'm obviously not in every hand, I don't think dividing hands per hour by 10 and multiplying the average rake per hand (probably about $3.25 to $3.50) measures the impact on me. Or as Lee Jones explains it, whereas good players are contesting fewer pots but trying to win the big ones, it's the other players who are trying harder to win a greater number of pots who are subsidizing the rake. |

From the short time I played there, the Windsor 3/6 game is too passive for you to lose 20 BB quickly. If you want, you can rebuy chips from the dealer. Large bills also play there, so put 100 CDN behind your stack between hands if you're worried about going to the felt. Extra chips just crowd the table, especially on the corner seats.
