Re: A4o hits TPNK, Do you like my line?
[ QUOTE ]
In these spots, I personally like checking -- often it's checked around, and then I can pretty confidently bet the turn knowing I'm probably ahead. If the flop is bet by someone else, I'd have to make a judgement based on who did the betting, but the pot is so small I can't imagine it would be a huge mistake to fold in most circumstances. [/ QUOTE ] This is my line typically as well, but I feel the pot is a little too shorthanded to check-fold an ace. I still like checking to watch the action first, but I am more inclined to call or raise a bet than fold when I only have 2 opponents. |

Re: A4o hits TPNK, Do you like my line?
Good point about the number of opponents. It's a balancing act between number of players, size of the pot, and strength of the hand. I'm not sure to what degree each of those needs to be factored in.

Re: A4o hits TPNK, Do you like my line?
[ QUOTE ]
Standard Hand 101 [/ QUOTE ] This hand is completely different because there is no raise preflop. Also, Josh's opponents are loose passive so I really think you need to bet this flop. I'm torn between Bet/Fold or Check/Fold the turn. I really think UTG's postflop numbers are so low that you can save a bet here with a check/fold. It's pretty close though I don't mind either line. If he just called the turn are you bet/folding the river on a blank? |

Do you like the stop and go? [/ QUOTE ] No. Your very passive opponent raised your bet on a raggy, uncoordinated board. You are probably drawing to 3 or 0 outs. I like the flop bet a lot, but once this guy raises you, I'll check-fold the turn. |
