Final Pot: 7.75 BB The hero is JoshuaD. As you can see, he's what I would consider a "bad" player. I'm surprised he's lasted this long at 2/4, I've been stealing his stacks for months now in plays just like this. ps, villain was LPP. |

I screwed this hand up so bad I can't even tell you were I fucked up. I was suffering some sort of reverse tilt after this run:
![]() Yes, I was using the way ahead / way behind line. Yes, I suck. The worst part about this hand is the Villian's a LP-P. |

At PP 2/4, I'd call PF, fold the flop. At a micro, some might raise PF, but I can't think of many who would call that flop; most I can think of would raise or fold. BTW, sometimes bad players get good cards.

The proper preflop play is protection for your 8s. The last thing you want is for the BB to be able to play his J4o or for SB to complete with whatever trash he feels like completing with.

It's pretty common sense here. Isolation and protection with a weak made hand. Regardless of following exactly what SSH prescribes preflop, this is definitely one of the more important concepts. There are a ton of bad cards that can fall here, and the fewer hands that possibly have them, the better.
