Default was I too passive with this

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
6 folds, CO calls, Hero raises, SB calls, 1 fold, CO calls.

Flop: (7 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, CO bets, Hero raises, SB calls, CO 3-bets, Hero calls, SB calls.

Turn: (8 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, CO checks, Hero checks.

River: (8 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, CO checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 8 BB

CO is tight passive passive. SB is loose and mainly a calling station. Was I right to check the turn and river

Yes. CO may have caught part of this flop and tried to steal it against two players. I'd bet/call the turn and call it down UI on the river.

At the point that both the Turn and River were checked to you, you could go ahead and make a value bet, especially the river.

Many times people will be aggressive when a flop like this happens, rainbow coordinated. If they suspect that you raised an A(x) then a King and good kicker will sometimes get aggressive figuring you missed this flop.

I'd cap the flop. Bet the checked turn and river. (folding to a C/R)

You have to bet this turn. You still have outs vs a T if you were afraid of that.
