miami was trying to warn him too. did that scene happen before or after their conversation about how eddie didn't want to use signals anymore? is it possible that he didn't fold b/c he didn't want to get busted for colluding?
oooooooh! i forgot my most hated moment of the episode: hellmuth, who is clearly the chip leader at the moment, bluffs matador out of a pot. after matador folds, hellmuth says "you make that call, you bust me." huh??? |

Of course they all made the top 100!! As we have seen , they are all so supremely skilled they never have a losing night. Whenever they go to play in a game, they come back toting sacks full of loot.... it was nice to see Eddie lose his first hand though, only to set up a bit more drama for his triumphant victory I'm sure!

OK, I think some of you are being a little too snooty in watching this show - do you expect a 10 minute dialog between Eddie and the Matador on the value of using a stop and go?
Think of about every sports movie out there - like Hoosiers or The Natural - doesn't the "river card" always hit in sports movies - i.e. the last second jump shot goes in for the heroes - the 2 strike, 2 out pitch in the bottom of the ninth is a towering series winning drive into the light fixtures? If a topic becomes a show, by definition it has to take some poetic license to create an interesting story for the other 99% of the population watching it.. |

Yeah, everyone is being very snooty. They know every detail of every show, yet they hate it with a passion. Why not just watch something else if its that bad?

on the hand when matador put "sunshine" in with 99 (or whatever he had), weren't there players left to act before the flop when he gave his speech about delta airlines? [/ QUOTE ] This bothered me as well. There were two players between them, and possibly the dealer. Made zero sense. |

[ QUOTE ] anybody else (you Jets fans out there) catch the Paul Hackett drink reference at the bar? [/ QUOTE ] 3 parts failure, 1 part gyp. classic. does Herm moonlight as a screenwriter? [/ QUOTE ] Wasn't it one part gin? Who is Paul Hackett, btw. Seems a pretty obscure refernce. Was Dennis Miller sighted around the writer's room? |
