Is it just me, or do you have to play 25 MILLION raked hands to get VIP status? I mean I guess its not that bad, only 68 years of 1000 hands a day

WTF????????????

FWIW, I made a joking post about Empire being rigged a few months ago and was bumped to VIP the next day. I had 1600 points at the time. Coincidence? OR SOMETHING MORE?????

I now have close to 7,000 points, as well as a nice VIP fleece jacket and a shiny new copy of HEPFAP.

It's just you.
Think about why.

Two things.
You seem to be spending an awful lot of energy on this VIP thing, which really has very little value, and which you could otherwise put towards something profitable, like say, playing poker.

If you haven't played enough to get bumped to VIP, then how long do you think it will take you to reach the royal flush club (another 10K points)? Ok, you'll be earning points at twice the rate.
Lets say you play 900 hands/day. That's 60 pts per day after you get bumped. Assuming 5 days a week, you are at the RF club after only 33 weeks - not too bad. You may now commence collecting your $100 a month bonus.
If you don't get rakeback at empire though, and are playing something like 5-10 6max, then the 150k hands that you've played making it to the RF club could have made you $7500 on a different party skin where you have rakeback.

To sum up, if you don't get rakeback at empire, stop playing there and get it at another party skin. The VIP program may be nice, but it doesn't hold a candle to what you could be getting back.

[/ QUOTE ]

so I should basically, shut my account down. Reopen with rakeback, and play MAD amount of hands in the very beginning? It seems like more effort than a simple email.

That $1200/yr free just sounded so tempting

[/ QUOTE ]

You aren't getting my point.
Even if your email is successful, getting from 5k to 15k points will mean forgoing so much rakeback that the $1200 annually pales by comparison.

you're right!!!

how dare he alert the people at Empire about the existence of the 2+2 forums.

We're ruined!!!

[/ QUOTE ]

Obviously they know 2+2 exists. Using a link as evidence to make your point isn't smart. People have done that with bonuses and then the bonuses get pulled ("I should get this bonus....look at this 2 + 2 link where these other people say they got the bonus").

Nothing positive can come of it and you may ruin it for other people. Empire may have had a policy where they let certain people slide through to be a VIP. If they realize that is becoming the rule rather than the exception, they may just stop it entirely.

The following is basically a transcript of my efforts to be bumped up to VIP status in Empire Poker.
--------------------------------------------------------

Dear support,
I have been a member of Empirepoker for over a year now. I started my very first poker playing at this site so it has a lot of sentimental value to me.

What bothers me is that I do not get to play here as much as I would like to. I would like to be bumped up to VIP status. I feel that the royal flush club is much too far out of my reach unless I was already a VIP member, as they get points faster.

Sincerely,
Reef
--------------

Dear Reef,

Thank you for contacting customer support.

In order to become a VIP Players Club Member you need to
accumulate EPoints (comp points) and reach a minimum of 5,000 EPoints by playing as often as possible. Once you have 5,000 EPoints you are automatically entered into the VIP players club.

To become a Royal Flush Players Club member you must accumulate 15,000 EPoints.

Unfortunately we are not able to "bump" players to VIP or Royal Flush status.

etc, etc..

Best regards,

Louise

---------

Dear support,

I am not asking to be bumped to royal flush club status. My
goal is to play enough hands at Empire to achieve this. I am
merely asking to be bumped to VIP status, so that my goal is
realistic.

I have read of MANY cases where players got bumped up to VIP
status without any special reason. Here is one of many
examples:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...mp;o=&vc=1

I have a very good reason for wanting to be bumped. However it is being made apparent to me that Empirepoker does not value my business as much as others.

please reconsider,
Reef
-----------

Dear Reef ,

We understand that you are frustrated with this issue, but we would like to assure you that customer satisfaction is our primary concern.

However , as we outlined in our last e-mail we do not 'bump' players into either the VIP club or Royal Flush club. This would not be fair to other players.

We hope you understand the situation.

Best regards,
Evrita

Dear support,

With all due respect, I am being flat out lied to- Here is
why.

You wrote: "However , as we outlined in our last e-mail we do not 'bump' players into either the VIP club or Royal Flush club. This would not be fair to other players."

While in my last reply, I included this link to a website forum where multiple users claimed to have been bumped without ever reaching 5000 epoints:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...mp;o=&vc=1

I really have no tolerance for depetive behavior like this.
----------

Dear Reef,

We value all our players and appreciate your playing at our site.

We would like to inform you that we had a promotion running long time ago in which the status of some players was upgraded to VIP. Sorry to say, but the promotion is no longer on.

Please note that your chances to enter are higher the more you play with us.

Best regards,

Suku

To summarize,
Empire Poker support is full of crap

I wonder what else Empire/Iglobalmedia is lying about.

Cup of RNG anyone?

It is, but it's a little big. I mostly use it to wipe away the tears from my current downswing.
