Structure implications?
What are your tact./strat. suggestions and considerations for this structure:
* buy-in $14,000 * 72 players start, 6x12tables * winners of round 1 tables get buy-in back and move to semi-final 2tables x 6players * 3 remaining from each semifinal table qualify for final. Chip-count is taken, and carried on to final, when 4th player is eliminated at each table. Semifinal is played out, and winner gets another buy-in back. * starting chips, round 1 and semifinal = T100K * 30 min. rounds, blinds 1st Level $1,000 / $2,000 2nd Level $2,000 / $4,000 3rd Level $3,000 / $6,000 4th Level $5,000 / $10,000 5th Level $7,000 / $15,000 6th Level $10,000 / $20,000 7th Level $15,000 / $30,000 * prizemoney winner 40% runnerup 15% 3rd 10% 4th 8% 5th 5% 6th 2.4% More or less like the British Open, but more money, and not spread over two months. It's my first big buy-in tourney, and first at this kinda structure, so I'd appreciate any and all input. Obviously winning round 1 is an absolute must, and it's presumably the hardest and most luck-dependent part of the event. |

Re: Structure implications?
This seems incredibly crapshoot-ish. Those blind levels are ridiculous.
