Judging from the length and content of this thread, Tilt is a raging success. I would watch it, but I don't have cable or satellite. This thread is a lot like listening to gear heads talk about The Fast and The Furious. They all claim to hate it, but, ironically, they know every car and every 'mistake' in the movie. Hmmmm, I think someone's watching.

They're doing casting calls for another season of Stump the Schwab. EOE is now working on ESPN Hollywood, while they downgrade the mess that was Cold Pizza, which has gone from a GMA type of show with sports mixed in, to a straight sports news program where you can listen to the verbal stylings of Woody Paige and Skip Bayless. Around the Horn was better when it had Max Kellerman, but when he went off to FSN to create the blatant ripoff I, Max it didn't work out too well.

Kevin...

Remember the last episode is on Sunday night! It's pretty obvious Eddie will win heads up... and Matador gets taken down by the FBI. Without the latter it wouldn't really be that big of a crushing blow tho.. I mean 2nd place isn't exactly "losing" .. He only got 2.5M.. we really stuck it to him!

The most unrealistic poker content of the whole series is that the three stooges all make the final 100, and Miami and Eddie the final table. Appears as if Clarke misses the final table, probably off screwing the FBI.

They'll probably get him for taking chips during the tournament and make him forfeit his winnings. Either that, or maybe there is a rule about committing murder during the tournament..

did anyone mention yet?:

-how much time participants in the championship appear to have away from the table. matador went to reno to commit murder. miami is hunting guys down, etc. my impression is that there's 8-10 hours a day, PLUS breaks. doesn't that sort of wreck the rest of your day?

-on the hand when matador put "sunshine" in with 99 (or whatever he had), weren't there players left to act before the flop when he gave his speech about delta airlines?

-eddie lost a hand!

I can just see the screenwriters thinking to themselves, "You know, if Eddie always wins, viewers aren't going to think this show's realistic." They showed Matador losing a hand, too, in the Hellmuth flashback.

Yep, that solves all the realism problems for me...
