I think one of my leaks is that I'm not getting full value for my strong hands. I find that I barely ever in the first few levels go alll in with my strongest hands. I always seem to be worried about loosing my oppenent and want to get something for the hand. This might not be the best hand to get advice on this problem but might as well start somewhere.
In the hand below, I have no reads on the villian other than when he made the big flop bet when I had all the kings in my hand that he must be a yahoo. Anybody think given his action that he can be strong enough to call a push on the river enough of the time to make it worth it? I think the problem is not betting the turn. I'd bet about 1/3 of the pot here to induce a bluff. Even if he only calls, at least the pot is bigger when you get to the river, and you'll get a little bit more out of your value bet.

Interesting hand to post as you actually shouldn't get much from this hand and yet you did. The problem with this hand (I know we should all have such problems) is that you have the board killed. Anything that would have called your pre-flop bet is clearly dead except A,A and even with that hand I would be nervous that you had A,K or K,Q.
That said, the villian bet out on the flop so I would have bet just less than 1/4 pot on the turn and perhaps 2/3 or 3/4 pot on the river. It looks like this guy might have called those bets. did he have A,A? I sure hope he didn't have A,K These are just my thoughts and I wonder what other think of my analysis. Rybones |

Yeh rybones there are only 4 Ks in a deck
Anyway, if somehow the deck was rigged and 5 kings came out, you'd want to go up against AK. Quads beats FH and you'll take his stack |
