on dutch's blog he showed the email that pokerstars sent to him. it basically explained that they didnt like how he handled his online poker site, scamming his members, and because of it they were banning him from their site.

I heard he was in some legal trouble because of online gaming fraud. I'm not sure, though, probably just a rumor.

I don't recall that being what the letter from PS said. I could be wrong.
I have a feeling that it's not spamming, and it's not the pokerstop stuff. I think it's something slightly more sinister. |

Here's a possible reason why...
I read some of his online prospectus stuff a while back when I was bored - (not sure if it's still there now) - Dutch's business plan included selling off the assets of Pokerspot.com and his cornerstone - claiming a patent on ONLINE TOURNAMENTS - saying they were the first and had a defacto copyright/patent on them. read that again in gangster sleeze speak - "buy our assets, cause we think we can enforce a patent on ONLINE TOURNAMENTS, thereby forcing every other site to pay royalties - just buy our assets and start legal action against the big boys." (ok, it was in legalese instead of Tony Soprano speak, but you get the idea) - If someone threatened my livelihood with a BS patent lawsuit, I'd ban him from my site too. And according to other posters, he encouraged more deposits well after the point of failure had been reached - He STILL hasn't made good on everything yet - Maybe they just don't think he's the kind of guy who could bring anything positive to Pokerstars. One thing's for sure, if I was on a table with him, I'd have to block observer chat, cause if I was cheated, I'd hound his ass from here to Fresno - RB |

He was just spamming in the chat window to advertise his own poker site. Understandably, they kicked him out. If you own a Best Buy store, you don't want someone standing inside the front door with a Circuit City sign telling you that the other store is better. |
