Re: Pharaoh\'s Club Paulson - Blue $1 or White $1 chip?
[ QUOTE ]
I like your reasoning, except that the standard James Bond $1 chip is blue. The standard 50 cent chip is white. [/ QUOTE ] Ah, I guess you're right, didn't see that, but the Standard Stock $1's are white, so I suppose it doesn't matter either way. |

I'm a casino chip collector. The majority of the $1 chips I have are white.

off topic, but looking at the blue chip, the mold looks different. Anyone else notice? It's either been photoshoped to make the recessed area smaller and the raised area larger, or its a new mold. [/ QUOTE ] The original Paulson home mold used with the James Bonds had the larger recessed area and smaller raised area similar to the TH&C mold, but there were complaints about that mold because the inlay wasn't large enough to cover the recessed area. So they made the new Paulson home mold with the smaller recessed area to better match the inlay for the new Standard Stock Paulsons. I don't know where Ten got those pictures from, but they appear to match the dimensions of the new home mold. http://www.trademarkpoker.com/paulson.asp Personally , I like the chips with the larger recessed area because they're more like the TH&C's, but for some reason they couldn't/wouldn't make the inlays big enough to cover it. |

I don't know about others but I think the light beige stripe on white is completely stupid. In most pictures I have seen it basically just looks like one stripe anyways.
Maybe because I am new I don't know the reasoning behind this. |

[/ QUOTE ] The full credit for that goes to one of the graphic artists working with me on this. I required that the inlay be mocked up in perfect proportion on the scans that MSPatton provided, but this guy went the extra mile and filled in the flat area left over with texture. And he spread out the "PAULSON CHIPS" a bit to match what he thinks it will most likely be. Ten |

It completely contrasts with the Blue Chip James Bond, which has red/green/blue spots. The BC one has a "French" feel to it or something. (not good or bad, just what I see) Ten |

Personally, I think the beige edgespot on the white chip works great - at least on the JB samples I have.

Re: Pharaoh\'s Club Paulson - Blue $1 or White $1 chip?
I am surprised the voting is close as well. I voted for the $1 blue chip. I have the JB Paulson samples and I really like the $1 blue and the 25 or 50 cent white chip.

Re: Pharaoh\'s Club Paulson - Blue $1 or White $1 chip?
I am not surprised. White has been the traditional $1 chip in home sets while the blue is $10 or $50. I voted for white because I really like the beige and red stipes on white better!!!
