Re: QQ, ace on the flop
Check/fold flop. If you're going to bet, put him all-in, he doesn't have a stack.

Check/fold flop. If you're going to bet, put him all-in, he doesn't have a stack. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. I think your line is fine. At this point you should have a fairly solid read on CO. Assuming he's been playing tight and hasn't gotten out of line, the 200 bet on the flop is just fine. He's not calling off 1/3 of his stack without at LEAST the ace. You got the information you needed while surviving for another hand. Just blindly pushing it in here is not something I'd recommend - especially if CO is on the Laggy side. Pep. |

Re: QQ, ace on the flop
Yuk. I hate these situations. IMO, you're either check-folding or pushing. I've pushed hands like this with KK only to have villain fold. I don't know what is correct here, as it's always table/read/feel dependent (and luck).

Re: QQ, ace on the flop
It's read dependent... but without a read, being out of position, I would c/f the flop.

Re: QQ, ace on the flop
Since there are two opponents, I would go into check/fold mode. Against one opponent, I would take a stab at the pot.

Re: QQ, ace on the flop
I like the line you took. With a big pocket pair if an over flops against 2 or fewer opponents I will generally bet around 2/3 of the pot. If an A and K had flopped or if there were 3+ opponents it becomes a check fold situation.

Re: QQ, ace on the flop
Check/Fold on the flop.
With two opponents who called a 4BB raise pre-flop, the probability that someone has a Ace here is too high to put any more money in. |
