Who are these people on Pokerstars?

We've all seen them. Hundreds of players with the same avatars. If you ask them about the avatar you never get a response. Are they a forum community? Poker Cultists? Religion? Bots? I'm curious. Here are some shots of the common avatars.

I have noticed that before. I was playing 3 tables and was in a MTT and 6 diffrent screen names had the same avatar. Weird, Its probally just some sort of bug.

I'm the blue one.
It's one of the pictures that comes as a background option on Dell.
I think it is a forest that gets distorted when you select it for an avatar.
Or maybe that is what we want you to think. . .

No cult, in fact i asked someone if it was a club. If you choose not to download your own avatar those are default choices that Pokerstars gives you.

Nope, not a default.
I assume many were like me and the only pictures on their computer were the standard background choices.

Ok, now I'm confused.

I figured there was no way that the orange color one could be any sort of default, because it's downright weird-looking.

I eventually came to believe that these were some sort of esoteric card game cards, like Magic The Gathering or something, and that we poor idiots were not supposed to know what they were, and then the special powers of the cards would work better on us.

So I was wrong?
