Default Watching the pros play

Hello everyone. I am a rather new player but have read around on the forums for some time. I was wondering if I could learn any helpful tips by watching a few of the pros play on sites such as Full Tilt or Pokerstars. If so, how long should I watch them play in order to get some good pointers? All help appreciated

I really don't think it will be that beneficial, since you often do not see their cards, and most of the plays they make are well beyond our comprehension.

I wouldnt waste your time watching the pros. They will more than likely be playing at higher limits than you and different limits require some change to your play. I would invest your time into reading some threads and buy one of the great 2+2 books, probably SSH.

It can be instructive to watch Ivy play on full tilt, just to see exactly how f'n aggressive he is. also, watch perhald freidman's NL game very closely if you have aspirations of playing high stakes. (not that their game is applicable at any kind of low limits).

Whats his name on FT, and other Pro's names, for that matter?

Pretty sure they use their real names on Full Tilt...but this talk of plays beyond our comprehension is baloney. Don't get me wrong, they are pros, and are good players, but I once had Chris Ferguson chase me down with a gutshot straight draw, heads up after the flop. Just called the whole way...so I guess, yes, that is beyond my comprehension...but he was no better than me on that certain day. Before I had a chance to call him a fish, he left the room....
