KK, Playing the nuts fast sometimes works.
Online 5-10 game.
UTG, I have KK, suits won't matter by the end of this hand. I open raise, MP a loose aggressive chaser coldcalls, button coldcalls, SB folds, BB calls. Flop KKT. See, the suits don't matter. Check to me, Checking would probably look suspicious, so I bet. LAG, and button both call, BB folds. Turn 6, I bet, LAG raises, button folds, I reraise, and LAG calls. River 2, I bet, LAG raises again, I reraise again, and he calls. He had TT. |

either you had a tremendous respect at the table or he wasn´t as Laggy after all...
hell, I would have capped the turn and very probably the river also... hm... does that make me a LAG? |

Re: KK, Playing the nuts fast sometimes works.
I think he didn't cap the turn, because he was being tricky. I think he didn't cap the river, because even LAGs recognize that someone who bets or raises 6 times, might have something good.

Or for that matter, KT suited, which on a frisky day, might be a raise.

[/ QUOTE ] Hero is not raising K6 or K2 UTG, even a LAG will notice this. KT is possibile but there are only 2 ways to have that. Therefore, there are 3 hands that beat him. There are more raising hands for Hero that the LAG is way ahead of (AK 8 ways, JJ or QQ 6 ways each, etc.). I'd cap the turn with TT day in, day out. Probably the river too. |

Re: KK, Playing the nuts fast sometimes works.
He's a LAG, not an idiot, and I am pretty sure that he realizes that I am not an idiot.
When I three bet the turn, he has to start giving me credit for a King, which means I probably have AK or KQ. I think that he didn't cap the turn, because he was being a little tricky with his full house. When I threebet the river, I think that he realized that I had a real good hand, and as unlikely as it might be, his hand was probably not worth capping with. |

Re: KK, Playing the nuts fast sometimes works.
I was replying mainly to private_joker, in that while K6 and K2 beat TT, they are highly unlikely given Hero's play.
I think a turn cap is automatic here. A river cap is certainly read dependent. If I knew you were a TAG I'd give credit for an extremely strong hand and call your 3bet. Against an unknown I'd cap. Also, I don't play $5/10, just throwing in my opinion. |
