You were logically thinking that the BB has two pair and your hand is second best at the moment...

i call this the courtesy bet, where someone bets into you on the flop when you are PFR, then any overcard or scare card comes on the turn and they bet again, giving you the courtesy of being able to raise again. they very rarely have it when they play it this way because with a big hand they go for the checkraise. so this is an easy raise.

That's right! I just called. Both called behind. The river paired with another 2, BB checked, I bet and get raised behind... villain has K2o. I guess the moral of the story is to raise, even if I think I'm probably second best, to clean up my outs in this big pot.
