Default kk, what do you do

2/3 nl at the Bike. I am in MP with KK. I make it $10 to go. 2 callers behind me. BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop comes j97 rainbow. BB moves all-in for $125. UTG folds. I have BB covered. Guy behind me is ready to uck his cards. Other guy is non commital. What do I do? What would you do?

And yes I should have raised more preflop. My standard raise is $15, but I wanted action this time. Just not 4 callers. lol

I'd fold waiting for a better time to bust him.

Well, you got action. Without a read, I would probably fold. But you must have some sort of read. Online, I would expect this to be top pair much more often than a better hand, but live I find that people don't get as excited about top pair and aren't as quick to put every preflop raiser on AK.

So: online, I call. Live, I fold without a read. No read on this guy? How had he been playing? Had you seen him get out of line like this before?

Ever notice every time there is a horror story involving AA or KK includes this statement? Why do you think that is?

PLAY HUGE HANDS FAST.....

problem was he had only been at the table a short time. But in that time he had been pretty aggressive and got outdrawn 2 pots before so he was in a foul mood

Raise more hands if they will only call you with premium holdings and you don't expect people to try and get tricky and re-raise you with nothing.

not much to semibluff on that board. bb is overbetting the pot by about 2.5x.

Hmmm

I fold too, but that sucks.

yeah it was such a huge overbet, I figured he had to have caught 2 pair. At any rate, I laid it down. Everyone else folded as well and he didn't show. I am pretty sure I made the right move. I just wanted to know if anyone else would have played it differently.

Barring a read, I fold this.

You only have a pair, even if it's KK.

Oh yeah, and raise more preflop
