Default Trip 3\'s hand

Just sat down, no read on the UTG player

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Hero ($1321.75)
SB ($155)
BB ($1164)
UTG ($2785)
MP ($1253)
CO ($340)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls $10, 2 folds, Hero calls $10, 1 fold, BB raises to $33, UTG calls $23, Hero calls $23.

Flop: ($104) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $75, BB calls $75, UTG raises to $200

How to play this now? flat call, raise or push?

Like i said i have no read on him whatsoever, on these tables almost anything is possible (although it would be weird not to lead with a good 9). Two overspades seem like a probable holding for the BB though.

I think I call then. if you push, you will only get called by 22 or 99 and maybe not even 22.

"maybe not even 22."

HAHAHAHA, yea right, 99.999999999% of players on party will call a push with 22 here.

But it's not like I don't get the jist of what you're saying..calling seems best.

I haven't observed the party1000 games enough to say.

even if its 22 or 99, thats just half the hands.

Call with a view to getting all the money in on a spadeless turn.

i like a flat call here because villain may think his overpair is good and that you are drawing. the only drawback may be if villain will shut down because a third spade may kill your action, or will bet because he made his flush, which then you will have to revert to drawing. but i think it's a chance you can afford to take. he's drawing probably to two outs usually, and it's possible to get the money in on the turn with a flat call when he fires again into you.

the check raise on the flop usually indicates a good, but not great hand, so i wouldn't put him on a set of nines...i'd aim to get my stack in on this hand.

Why would you just call the raise with the BB also in the hand and a flush draw out there?

It looks to me like the BB has the flush draw. I want him out. If you call the BB will probably call with 2 high spades.

I like a big reraise here.
