Re: Bart\'s weak tightness spreads
[ QUOTE ]
To give him some credit, he's really toned down on commenting all the time about the food. Listening to him rave about Pink's hot dogs the first week just drove me nuts. - Kevin... [/ QUOTE ] Nobody loves Pink's hot dogs more than the 2+2 mid limit forum's own "mike l.". The main Pink's in Los Angeles has all kinds of hot dogs named after movie stars and celebrities. I think the Bike should name hot dogs after poker players. The "mike l." dog would be a spicy polish with mustard, onion, chili, cheese and sauerkraut on the side (otherwise the bun would get squishy) The "Rick Nebiolo" dog would be a 12" Jalapeno dog split in half and placed on two rolls with mustard, onion, and chili. Better deal than the mike l. dog at only $4 . ~ Rick |

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (3/4 show)
[ QUOTE ]
I'm probably the only one here who's done play by play and whatnot for real. It's not easy. And I've got socks that are older than the lady. Some slack is in order. I may be going a little hard on them, but they appear to be taking the criticism with grace. [/ QUOTE ] I spoke with David Tuchman earlier today. He indicated that it is really tough to follow the action as he doesn't get to see the hands any earlier (or more often) than we do while the broadcast is going on. I haven't been inside the booth much (believe me, you don't want to hear my commentary as I have the exact opposite of a "radio voice") but anyway it appears that getting the cards up on the screen faster and more consistently is key to having the game announced right (along with knowing stack and bet sizes). ~ Rick |
