I think your right. He knew I wouldn't reraise him with nothing. I was very aggressive, but was also showing good hand after good hand. Also, we were the two best players at the table and play together often and have decent reads on each other. I wanted to give him proper odds to call with hands like A10. I got just what I wanted, him to call and be stuck in a pot, I was favored to win, it just didn't work out. There are many ways to play it preflop and I don't think any of them are much better/worse than the other. Going all in preflop was something I didn't want to do, as I wanted a big pot potential and I know this player wouldn't have called. My main question was post flop, should I have folded, as others I have talked to had suggested....Thanks for the insight.
