Re: HEFAP being \"illegally distributed\"
Hi Freakin:
You're right. This should go through private message and someone has already done that. We'll be looking into it. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: HEFAP being \"illegally distributed\"
I find this ironic...
So, there you are out at a bittorent site - doing what, just checking out to see what was out there so that you could go back and inform all of the authors/publishers that their copyrighted material was available? Pretty funny... |

Re: HEFAP being \"illegally distributed\"
.....ya, i was just, uh, checking it out....
not even thinking about downloading a movie...... no definately not an episode of a current tv show. my allegiances are narrow indeed but i would rather see this place prosper, and put out more cool books. although personally, i have to take my book-scale information in paper format (computer screne doesn't cut it). cheerio, the Real Macoy |

If I remember correctly, you can't let it slide. If you do you risk losing your copyright. [/ QUOTE ] I think you're confusing copyrights and trademarks. |

[/ QUOTE ] While this is true of trademarks, I believe it applies to copyrighted material also. It use to be that we couldn't pattent computer software algorithms. Thus we took copyrights out on the material, the problem was that copyrights are still fairly weak and if you didn't fight when someone overstepped you risked losing your rights to the material. Of course if anyone even wanted to use my copyrighted material anymore I'd think them daffy. |

It's also your right to choose not to enforce it but you still maintain copyright. Currently, the term of copyright is...drumroll... 70 years after the death of the author. |

Yeah I thought about that too. I guess I have more allegiance to 2+2 than vivid video.
