$600NL Set over Set?
Villain is very rockish, has only shown down big hands so far. 300 Hands VPIP 17 PFR 5
I can't imagine that AK or AA plays this way, even though I have a loose hyper-aggro image and have pushed him around a bit. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $6 BB (8 handed) converter MP2 ($457.84) CO ($788) Hero($1821.5) SB ($1014.88) BB ($273) UTG ($286.6) UTG+1 ($1507.2) MP1 ($296.6) Preflop: Hero is Button with 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Re: $600NL Set over Set?
If he's very rockish, you have a 1-outer.

Re: $600NL Set over Set?
I don't understand why you put in the fourth bet on the flop. You've put yourself into a situation where you're only getting the money in if you're crushed. You still have two betting rounds left...

Re: $600NL Set over Set?
I cant see what hand you are ahead of here if the villan is very rockish as you described then this is a muck especially considering his open raise from UTG+1.
You must also consider and I am sure this has been said elsewhere in the forum the fact that PT numbers are not absolute reads since they do not account for specific situations or actions against certain players. |

[ QUOTE ]
Preflop: Hero is Button with 4,4. SB posts a blind of $3. 1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $20, 3 folds, Hero calls $20, 2 folds. Flop: ($47.25) 4, J, K (2 players) UTG+1 bets $25, Hero raises to $60, UTG+1 reraises to $150, Hero reraises to $380, UTG+1 reraises to $1312.2 (All-In), Hero ??? [/ QUOTE ] Two mistakes here. 1. Calling pre-flop to a VPIP 17% player with 44 against a short stack tight rockish player = bad = no leverage unless you hit a set = you don't get paid off well enough = make a little or lose a lot. 2. Re-raising the flop does you what? If he is as rockish as you say, he's gonna fold AK putting you on JJ or 44. Is he seriously gonna commit his whole damn 1500+ stack on AK here? Would you do you it if you were VPIP 17%? Fold your 44. Lawrence |

Re: $600NL Set over Set?
Lawrence it was UTG+1 that was in the hand, not UTG. UTG+1 has a big stack so the call preflop is clearly fine, but I would have smooth-called the $150 on the flop.
As far as the all-in, I agree with others that it's a clear fold. |

Re: $600NL Set over Set?
Despite the "I have a loose hyper aggro image" line, I still think this tight-wad has you smoked. He is not committing 1500 bucks against a loose hyper aggro with AK or AA. Fold your cards. And don't play 44 against this player.
