Re: Bet into the PFR or check raise the field?
[ QUOTE ]
Your pot equity is extremely high here. I would check-raise. You aren't getting a flush draw to fold. The preflop raiser will most likely bet. A successful check/raise will be very profitable. [/ QUOTE ] I was thinking about this too. But flush draws and OESD are happy to cold-call two. We're protecting ourselves from gutshots (although we have a huge redraw). Maybe I'm complicating things but it does seem closer that it first appears. However I'm still not going for the check-raise because I think there's a decent chance this flop will get checked through. |

Re: Bet into the PFR or check raise the field?
Say you bet out here. One of two things will happen.
1. The preflop raiser either calls or folds and your hand is not protected. 2. The preflop raiser raises and knocks out all the people who are almost drawing dead to your set. Neither of these situations are better than check-raising the whole field IMO. |

Yeah a failed check-raise would be bad, but I think the guy in CO is going to bet here a strong percentage of the time.

Re: Bet into the PFR or check raise the field?
bets & 3-bets.
[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]-draws will try to get there cheap as possible, but will play passively until they are there. any 4 will also call. decent overcards will also call. i'm raising any turn card, [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or 4. if i get played back at, i'm calling & trying to fill up on the river before i get aggro again. otherwise, calling down. |

Re: Bet into the PFR or check raise the field?
We need to bet out at this bee-yotch as much for value as for protection.
Overcards (drawing dead, little do they know...) will call one bet on this flop and then fold if the turn bricks for them. We need to get their money now. The draws we "fear" may not even be out there. Our pot equity is ginormous here. I'm betting/raising this flop at every opportunity and leading the turn no matter what (like ollie said), slowing down only if one of the more obvious draws comes in and I'm played back at. Tom |

[/ QUOTE ] There are more than 2 things that can happen here. One additional thing that can happen is that Hero bets, Villain raises, and a good number of the field call two cold in a pot this size on this board. Hero then gets to 3-bet them. Bet the flop. |
