Best texts for the truly ignorant
Hi all, not sure this is the correct place for this post but I figured I'd get the best advice here. My abilities in the field of probability and statistics are very weak. While I was moderately strong (well above average but well below brilliant) in both statistics and algebra when in school it was a quite a while ago and I remember hardly anything. With this in mind what text or texts would you suggest I study to get a very firm grounding in probability theory and its application?
Any advice and help is greatly appreciated, and I do apoligize if this isn't 100% on topic. Thanks in advance! |

Re: Best texts for the truly ignorant
Check www.probability.go.ro . I heard next few months they will release a book on probabilities for beginners, with full applications in gambling and poker.

Hi
I do not if this is the answer you are looking for, but this short article ”Pot odds made easy” from Card Player Magazine could be a place to start: http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_maga...13&m_id=88 /sunek |
