Re: KK not always push anymore eh?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] i drop close to 800 on the hand and vow never to sit deep again unless i know the other deep stacks are bad as i apparenlty have no idea how to play a river with chips in front of me. [/ QUOTE ] Put another way, sitting deep is pretty much like playing up a level. If you wont play a level with a 4X starting stack over your current level then don't keep playing at 4X your stack when others match you chip for chip. [/ QUOTE ] the stakes were not the problem. i would rather play 8-16 with 800 in front than 2-4 with 800 in front against equal competition (although both would make me a little nervous). in my familiar 50x game, you never have to face a big overbet on the river unless there's been very little action. |

Re: KK not always push anymore eh?

BTW, I started completing KQs at 6-max when the table has a low PFR. It's not that bad, but I've seen better [/ QUOTE ] This is off topic, but why complete the SB w/KQs when the table has a low PFR, but not a high one? If I'm at a high PFR table, and it's limped all around, I can be almost certian I'm not dominated by AK or AQ, correct? |

If you're first to act and wait to push the flop regardless then you get that party poker magic working for you. It's called mixing up your play. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter Hero ($242.45) BB ($216.05) UTG ($0) MP ($107.7) CO ($70.15) Button ($71.6) Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.5. MP calls $1, CO raises to $4, 1 fold, Hero (poster) raises to $10.5, 1 fold, MP calls $10, CO raises to $25, Hero calls $14, MP folds. Flop: ($62) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets $46, CO calls $45.15 (All-In). Re: KK not always push anymore eh?
its not about just getting beat by that one hand, its how likely worse hands are going to call you when stacks are 100xBB deep.

Re: KK not always push anymore eh?
on a side note, the worst is when you raise with KK, get reraised, you call that reraise and the flop comes Q high.
That is the worst feeling. |

Re: bad beat post...no content
Worst flop push ever? Nice. I also like pushing with KK on a QJx flop...
