Default QQ in LP, fold to turn 3 bet?

pokerroom 2/4

I have QQ and the button. 2 limpers, hero raises BB calls, all call.

5 to flop of 336, 2 hearts. BB (seems loose, moronic, but only 25 hands) bets, 2 calls, 1 fold, I raise, all call.

Turn: 5 (not a heart) SB bets, BB calls, I raise, SB 3-bets, BB calls, hero folds.

sb checking and calling 2 cold on the flop is awfully supspicious.

I think this is close.

I probably would have called down against an unknown, he could be playing a smaller overpair in this way. More likely he has a 3 or the 47o for the straight, but the board is so ragged that I'm really tempted to call this one down.

I am new to poker. so maybe i am completly wrong and please someone point out if i make a mistake, but your pot odds were like 17.5:1. Shouldnt that pot be large enough to call

Id be pretty convinced that SB has the 3. That said, I would still probably call the turn, and call one more on the river (given no A or K comming). Raising and folding to the 3 bet gets the same results, but you don't get to possibly spike your Q on the river.

Compensating for rake, you're getting 15+:1 on a call at the turn. You will probably be able to see a showdown getting overall odds of 17:2 (one more bet from SB, a call by BB in addition to the ~15BB already in the pot, one bet to call the turn and one to call in position on the river). So, if you think you're going to be good 10% of the time, I think you need to call-call. This is even more true if you think BB will drop out on the river when he doesn't improve.

That said, the flop check/call two by SB and lead out on the turn smacks of slowplayed trips, though a few other hands are possible. Any reads?

Sorry to hear that Brett...you must be working to clear the bonus at crappy PokerRoom (hate that frickin site)...

Hang in there my man...

I would slow it down and call down. I think the pot is just too big to fold...sure, he probably sucked you out...but that's what happens to good players. I really like the first portion of TOP, pages 1 and 2 on this topic...it always encourages me when it seems like I'm playing with a sign on my forehead "SUCK ME OUT".
