I think thats how you have to play it. No use paying him two bets when you know for sure your beat with one. Playing top pair terrible kick is very hard out of position.

which is exactly why in multiway pots these flops should be checked.

I am new to poker, so can someone explain to me why its the right decision to fold after you already are in for one BB on the turn. I know im new but i someone understand pot odds and it would be 10:1 right? 10:1 seems pretty good for top pair even though you have a weak kicker. ?

10:1 is only good odds if you think that CO would be this aggro with a straight draw or middle pair. If he has you outkicked, you only have 3 outs to win and need more like 15:1 to call. The times he has a 2pr with no king (which is already unlikely on this ragged board) offset the times he has kings up, in which case you are drawing dead.

IMO, the stop and go is used to much in these situations.

Look at it from his perspective:

He can now raise and perhaps get you to fold a better hand or get a free showdown. The only way he is stuck is if you play back at him and he has to fold to a 3 bet. Since most players with a big hand out of position would checkraise the flop, reraise the flop or checkraise the turn, the 3 bet does not look likely. Therefore, the turn raise gains him quite a bit, especially when he is behind.

I routinely raise these stop and gos for the above reason.

Why not checkraise this flop? It will give you a better idea of where you stand and also allow you to thin the field a little more.

I suppose the turn play is fine but I'm checking this flop every time. I may check/fold/call/or raise but I definitely check.
