nh, nice pot. Does anyone else think that Hero overplayed his hand? Maybe I'm a wimp, but I think I slow way down on the turn, even with your caveat that UTG+2 is terrible with top pair. With that many callers, it's a minor miracle that no one had two pair or a set just sitting back letting the hyper-aggo's bet their hand for them.

I would have called down after the turn 3-bet. If I capped the turn, I would have just called the river bet. Do you really think you're ahead 60% of the time here (cause he sure as hell is going to 3-bet the set or QT he's representing).

Hell, I might even buy calling down after the turn bet, given that you cold-capped the flop, and he's still firing.

I just think this was extremely reckless.

I've already witnessed this particular opponent cap the turn and river against me on a T94QA board with Q7o (I had KJ for the nuts). As I said, this player will cap turn and river with anything close to top pair. I was more worried about all the callers playing a rag two pair weakly. But notice that I was getting a huge overlay for all of my bets. Even if I was behind to a rag two pair on the turn, I was getting 5:1 for every bet I was putting in to improve. The action of the other players didn't indicate that they held more than one pair. The other opponents were the generally loose/bad type that would not have been sophisticated enough to be doing the rope-a-dope all along with a strong hand letting me & the maniac pump up the pop.

I think raising river is defenitely -ev play due to number of players in a pot, it's massiveness and third spade to come. I consider capping turn is fine as no one shows any sign of 2pairs or set. Of course i ignore LAG cause if we were HU with him i would slow down only when he 3-bets river.

OK, I dig the turn cap now due to the huge overlay from the other players.

And given that UTG+1 is all-in on your river raise ... I'll buy that too.

I withdraw my reckless comment.

I assume that you meant the third club. And if I doubt anyone was drawing to that as it would be runner-runner.
