Re: Favorite TV show of all time
Seinfeld and it wasn't close...until I saw Curb Your Enthusiasm (same writer, Larry David). Probably a tossup between those two.

Re: Favorite TV show of all time
How the hell is MASH only #25?
Friends at #21 is embarassing. If they're going to have the Tonight show, 60 Minutes and Nightline they might as well have included Meet the Press and The Today Show and the CBS evening news with Walter Cronkite or the NBC news with huntley and Brinkley...or NOVA, Masterpiece Theatre and Tilt. I might actually be the only person here who was a fan of 30something....but listing that at #19 is flat-out embarassing. The final seasons of that show were ridiculous....and even the first couple seasons weren't good enough to warrant a #19 ranking. I pretty much think the same thing about St. Elsewhere. I think you can justify putting either one in the top 100...but not in the top 20. Today's Late Show with Dave Letterman does NOT deserve to be rated higher than the old Tonight show with Johnny Carson...and it's not even close. The old Late Night with David Letterman should be rated higher than his current show. His sarcastic wit was copied by high-schoolers and college-students EVERYWHERE. His show today is just a lesson in how to be as orchestrated and unspontaneous as possible. Frasier at #34 is also not a great selection...simply because the show wasn't really that funny. as you can tell...this is list is kinda pissing me off!! |

Re: Favorite TV show of all time
[ QUOTE ]
I once watched a bunch of episodes of an old sci-fi type British show that I think was called The Prisoner or something like that. Probably circa 1970 or so. Just one season. Some giant bubbles would come out of the water and wreak all sorts of havoc if somebody stepped out of line. That was one WACKY show but I liked it a ton (even though it only barely made sense half the time). any brits out there know what I'm talking about? [/ QUOTE ] God damn that show. Back in my younger days on insomniac Sundays, there was nothing on late at night, except that show. I hated it so much but for some bizarre reason you could always catch me watching it every Sunday at 3am. P.S those bubbles and the sound effect always freaked me out. |

I had forgotten all about Sports Night, that was a great show.
My favorite was Get Smart. I miss it on Nick at Nite. |
