folding to river raise
.50/$1 Paradise - Just sat down
folded to LP who limps. SB completes, I check with 6[img]/forums/images/icons/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/forums/images/icons/spade.gif[/img] Flop: A[img]/forums/images/icons/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/forums/images/icons/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/forums/images/icons/club.gif[/img] SB bets out. I raise, LP folds, SB calls. Turn: K[img]/forums/images/icons/club.gif[/img] SB checks, I bet, SB calls. River: 3[img]/forums/images/icons/heart.gif[/img] SB checks, I bet, SB check-raises. I fold. SB makes a comment about "pulling that one out of his ..." Should I have just checked the river? |

Re: folding to river raise
I would have checked the river. You gave it your best shot on the turn. The Sb's turn call says I have a club. Since the Sb did not fold on the turn, the Sb will not fold on the river.

Re: folding to river raise
I'm not sure he had anything now. After watching this guy's play he made a few bad river raises and eventually lost all his chips.
I guess this situation is different than the other times people have reccomended betting 2-pair into a 4-flush board when checked to? Bercause the 4-flush came on the turn? |

Re: folding to river raise
You did bet your two pair into a four-flushed board, which was a good play. The only problem is that you still have another betting round, but you can use your prior aggresison and position to check this one through.
