I am nowhere nearly as experienced as a good percentage of the people who post here. But I can say that when I played that game I was more than confident and able to hold my own. Not too many agressive players when I was there and quite a few drunks (but thats everywhere in the Borgata.)

it isn't the aquarium it once was, but it's still very much beatable. occasionally, the table change list can be your friend.

Default The Best Game in Town

You could concievably get a bad beat and lose, but otherwise I think its very diffucult not to win. They are either:

1) Loose Passives. They always pay off and you always know where you stand.

2) Tight Passives. Won't pay off as much, but you always know what hand they have when they bet.

Rules of Thumb:
1) Standard preflop raise is $10-15. THis is high for those blinds, but magically you get callers. GO with it.

2) Loosen preflop calling standards. YOU CAN OUTPLAY THEM AFTER THE FLOP, THE IMPLIED ODDS ARE HUGE. This is especially true in posistion.

Do not underestimate this fact. Many many players will go to the felt with TPTK. I've seen people holding AA go to the felt when the flop came with two K's. These people overplay their hands so badly its not funny. At the $300 buyins AC allows this is just golden.

my feeling is the borgata can and will get to you. the only way to reasonably play this game is tight,tight,tight... every hour or so, throw in a bluff and show your cards when you know everyone will muck- just to keep the callers in check... but tight tight tight tight tight... like the newest hired borgata babe... This is absolutely the worst way to play. You can pick up so much more money by playing more hands and outplaying postflop. You can get so much money by betting heavy and watching them call down with jackshit draws. Weak-tight is the worst 1/2 Borg advice I've ever heard. If anything you should be a LAG.

so your just gonna limp in with one-gap and two-gap offsuiters all day for $2? you know after awhile it'll add up... and you will get focked on one big hand... better careful than trying to outplay, unless your name be gus or phil...

It dosn't matter if you haven't played a hand in two hours, they'll still call. Playing uber tight may make money in this game, however you're giving up alot of value.
