Poker.com: The plot thickens
So, after around 24 hours off, owing to previously described circumstances, I mail Aztec support asking why I cannot access my Poker.com account, and have they stolen our money.
Their reply: Dear Lorinda, Aztec Riches Casino does not own this URL. We do however have advertising there. I believe that in order to answer all your questions you will need to contact the owner of this URL. I have received information that you may be able to do this by visiting www.thepokerclub.com Please note however, that Aztec Riches Casino does have 12 poker games which can be seen at this site presently and Aztec Riches Poker will be releasing a multi player poker games in the very near future. I hope this helps and thank you. Kind Regards Sooooo, they have a poker casino, are the only thing active at poker.com and are opening a poker room shortly.....yet know nothing about the hijack. Very interesting. Lori (Looks like they don't even bother with the random name generator on the signature to their emails.) |

Re: Poker.com: The plot thickens
I don't think Aztec is "advertising" at www.poker.com.
Usually doesn't "advertising" involve a banner ad, and not the whole web site? - Tony |

Re: Poker.com: The plot thickens
It's a confusing one to me, and unfortunately I knew nada about poker.com before this all began.
When I first heard the news, I ran to the website as fast as my fingers would carry me (and yes, missed a certain freeroll that I had set my heart on) and there was still some kind of website there. That website had links to Aztec, but was still mostly poker.com. What I don't know is if Aztec advertised there before the abduction, or if what I saw was the first changes they had made to the site. Anyone who plays there and reads website details, Id love to know if Aztec advertised pre-hijack. Lori |

Re: Poker.com: The plot thickens
This all seems a bit strange to me. I have a feeling there will not be a quick solution to poker.com's problems. This Hijack seems a bit too well orgainised to be a short term thing. Why would you go to all this trouble of designing a website and software for this url, if you are only expecting to be running for a few days or a week. I'll speculate that Aztec will be around on the poker.com's url for a while to come. Of course I have no facts to back this up, just common sense. Different countries have different laws regarding this type of thing and poker.com might face a long battle to get their url back. I wish them all the best.
