Default way too passive ?

I think that I pussied out on this hand.

This is hand #2 with Villain after he pushed all-in on me earlier on a draw.

Villain $38
Hero $95

Hero in SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

.25/.50 NL

Villain in MP raises to $1
MP calls
Hero calls
BB calls

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] pot=3.80

Hero checks
BB checks
villain bets $1
MP calls
Hero raises to $5.50
BB folds
Villain calls
MP folds

Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero checks
Villain checks

River: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero checks
Villain checks

There was a possible straight and flush draw on the board. It scared me but I think I have to remember that I'm heads up now on the turn. Checking the turn may have been OK since villain bet on the flop but checking the river was bad, right ?

Biggest understatement ever.

Bet the turn, bet the river. There's not much beating you here that he is going to check twice, but there is a lot that he will call with.

way way too passive. Especially checking on the turn, is giving him a free card, if he is dwawing to a flush. You got to make him pay big for this.
