Re: Early in a 100+9
Prepare yourself for a lot of responses that ask why you played the T9s to begin with (btw I fold it, but I don't think its crazy to call.) |

Re: Early in a 100+9
I raise the turn to "see where your at" and try to get a free showdown. I like the limp preflop.

Re: Early in a 100+9
I usually avoid low-middle suited connectors altogether, with the only exception being an unraised pot in level 1 when I'm on the cutoff or button. I don't like the idea of potentially calling off hundreds of chips postflop with a mere draw... I prefer to conserve chips early to punish my opponents in the later stages. I understand how an argument could be made that T9s specifically tends to hit the flop in a way that you'll get paid off well postflop with a straight/two pair, but I still don't like this preflop call.
This situation is comparable to calling off 8-10% of your stack preflop with a baby pair. Even if your opponent has an overpair and pays off your flopped set every time postflop, it's barely +EV. The "potential" to win your opponent's stack postflop does not justify this type of call, since the few times you do make a hand, you may either (a) not get paid off, or (b) get sucked out on, which is increasingly likely if you flop a weaker made hand such as two-pair. |

Re: Early in a 100+9
I probably muck preflop, and flop. Turn call's easy, river call's probably good.

Re: Early in a 100+9
It's not really a limp...someone raised to 30. |
