What would you do?
NLH tourney question: Just after the first break in a 60 player entyr tourney (home game, buy-in $50 for $2150 in chips and rebuy for $25 for $1075),
Blinds are $150/$300.. There are 4 short stacked players at the table, you being one of them w/ $950 remaining. Pre-flop: The player under the gun moves all in for $1500. everyone folds to you. You are on the button w/ pocket Q's....what do you do? Background on the player, will play most Ax (suited or unsuited) and will probably limp w/ pocket pairs, however it was a fairly fast call. ....if you you correctly read the player of having at least an Ace and probably A-K, do you call? (8 person table, blinds will be around in 5 hands). Table has been playing extremely loose. |

Re: What would you do?
I'd push.
Sounds like you got beat, though. |

Call. It doesn't even warrant a second thought.
If he has kings or aces, tough luck. |

Re: What would you do?
If I had a read of AX or AK, I'd definitely call.. you're getting better than even money with 450 in blinds, and you're ahead of all those hands, with only AK coming close.
Time's running out and even though BB just passed you, you'll only have 3BB after this hand... if you bust, so be it, you can rebuy (but I probably wouldn't rebuy $50 for a 6BB stack unless you felt like you were one of the strongest players at the loose table) |

Re: What would you do?
The is an instant call. You only have 2 more rounds of blinds in front of you. Anytime I am under 5 big blinds I am looking for a chance to push, and based on your read of this player he could have any number of hands that you are ahead of at this point. The only hands you fear are AA and KK. AK is a race here and one that I'd take my chances with.
