Re: Cherokee Casino (Tulsa)
Kman,
I was just there last night, I don't think they are running tournaments yet and I woul hope not because they have some major kinks in their organizational skills of running a poker room. The ring games they offer are usually 4/8, 6/12, 10/20, and 2/5 no-limit holdem, 1-5 stud, and omaha occaisonally. The 4/8 game is an absolute circus, I couldn't get a seat in the 6/12 or 10/20 game so I took one at a 4/8 table and somehow managed to lose $200 in 2 1/2 hours and I played straight forward tight-aggressive poker and didnt try anything fancy but continued to get drawn out on by ace highs catching on the river and runner runer flush and straight draws, I didnt even mention that I never one a pot in the 2 1/2 hours. But if you have any skill at all you can run over the higher limit games because there alot of those wanna be pros that wouldnt hold a foot in a game in vegas but you might wanna stay away from the no-limit game because there are some rumors going around Tulsa that it might be crooked, now I know thats probably just a bunch of home game players talking but you never know. but if your going on a weekend I would suggest getting there early because there is usually a waiting list
