Default black kings

4-8, River Rock, Vancouver.

BB is very loose, passive. CO is tight, aggressive.

I raise UTG w KcKs. Folded to CO who 3bets. BB calls. I cap. Both call. (~12SB)

Flop is 10s7d4c. BB bets. I raise. CO calls. BB calls. (~18SB)

Turn is Qh. BB bets. He would not bet here w/o a set or 2 pair. I call. CO calls. (~12BB).

River is Ad. BB bets. I call. CO folds.

Do I need to raise the turn, even when I suspect I am behind, to drive out CO? Failing a turn raise, any merits in a river raise? There is a chance he would lay down 2pair.

Reasons to raise the river...

1) To get more $$$ in with the best hand.

If #1 is not met, don't raise the river. There is no way in hell he is folding 2-pair here, and if he is I'm doing it on a stone bluff rather then with a hand.

if your reads are on, then calling him down isn't a bad idea. If he is any kind of player he'd have to know you got something big for you to raise utg and raise on the flop. Since he is passive even if you raise the turn he might not even threebet and then your stuck in a situation in which you still don't know how big his hand is or if your ahead. The way I look at raising the turn in this situation is that its 50/50 on whether you have the best hand or not, so you gain nothing by raising here
