Capping in NL?
So were playing in our usual NL home game. utg raises to $5, middle raises to $10, button, raises to $15, utg raises to $20. Four bet cap in the limit game, is there EVER a cap in no limit? It rarely happens this way in the NL game, usually someone is all in by the 3rd bet. Any answers? Is there ever a cap in NL?

Re: Capping in NL?
usually the raise must be at least the size of the bet. so if one guy bets five, then you raise, you must raise to ten. but if he reraises, he must reraise to no less than 20. but other than that, there is no cap.

[/ QUOTE ] The places I've played, the reraise only needs to be the size of the prior raise. Since the prior raise was 5, then the next raise needs to be at least 5. To answer the original question, no cap at no limit. |

Re: Capping in NL?
The next raise has to be the size of the raise not the size of the bet. So if there is a $5 bet and then the next guy raises to $10, that is only a $5 raise. So the next raise can be to $15. And then next raise could be to $20. And that can keep going until everyone is all-in. But if OP wants to play an uncapped limit game, why doesn't he just do that?
