While I've found the buffet to be so-so, and the house restaurant at Two Trees to be sub-par, I've never been unhappy with Cedar's Steakhouse.

I'd try some of the others, but I keep ending up at Cedar's.

in addition, I highly recommend the chicken fingers and fries from the snack bar by the poker room (seriously).

3rded. You get a lot of chicken for your 5 comp points, and it's pretty tasty. They always bring me both Ranch and Sweet and Sour without my saying anything; this isn't standard?

Not to mention putting all kinds of people on tilt.

I've sat at tables where the majority of those playing wanted chicken fingers banned from the table. I guess they're so popular that lots of the patrons are to the point of nausea having to smell them again.

Which reminds me: I'm gonna have to order some the next time I go.

Default CHICKEN FINGERS...

1.) I was playing 4/8 and got HACKED by Stella...(older lady with fire-engine
red Q-Tip hair...looks like a flake but SHE'S NOT!!!)

2.) NO they almost always give me Ken's nasty ranch with those fingers,
(ok so I've had them 1000 times and they still smell good when your
neighbor gets 'em!) and personally, I have gotten my food order correct
ONCE at the HSC...didn't LOOK like diet....eeeew lol

Is Stella the British nice lady who loves to sit in the 1 seat and whose husband plays 10-20 or 30-40?

Chicken fingers are definitely my 1st order at the table followed by a grilled burger. I'm shocked when people order the pre-packed shrimp cocktails - those things make me sick!

i can only give the lowdown on the places i have eaten at the 'woods.
Cedars- the food is decent but very overpriced. i am not too sure what the Zagat rating is (if there even is a rating). it is a more "upscale" place to eat than most of the other food establishments on site. about 10 of us went there for diner over the summer in shorts, tshirts, and full sleeves of tattoos. dudes were drunk out of their minds and we got put in the far back room so we could make as much noise as we wanted. we tipped very well, so they were nice to us.
the Bistro- directly underneath the poker room is a cool bistro. good place to relax in the middle of a 12 hour session.
screw Subway. as an italian, i hate subway.
next to ben & jerrys they make sandwiches. there are usually 10 people working behind the counter but it still takes them 10 minutes per customer to get a sandwich made. avoid at all costs on weekends unless you have an hour to kill.
the buffet is hit or miss but is usually a complete miss. it has the standard fare. shrimp (food poisoning waiting to happen), waffles, pasta, bugers, various "meat" dishes, salad, etc... usually not worth the price of admission.
the snack bar has already been discussed at length. the chicken fingers are top notch.
i usually just bring a bagged lunch with me if i plan on spending 6+ hours playing. being able to bust out a nice turkey sandwich at 4am will get you props from everyone at your table.

My personal experience is that the food in the Foxwoods restaurants stinks.

Have you tried Cedars? Probably not if you made this statement.

I'd also give the Golden Dragon (I think thats the name. It's in the new section at the Pequot Tower)a chance if you like chinese food. Excellent.

If you'd like quick in the poker room, I recommend the chicken sandwich from the sports book, or anything from the Bistro below the poker room.

Joe
